|
NOTES: Please read the schedule very carefully. In particular, observe sizes and staging instructions. Mark cards are not part of your display. Place them to the side of your exhibit.
Please consider the humidity in the marquee when planning your entry. Certain items, e.g. cake icings, papercraft, may be badly affected. For this reason, a greetings card is not recommended as a suitable item for Class 10, section D.
Decorated cakes entered as a cookery item and therefore to be cut for judging must not be described as ‘decorated’ or ‘novelty’ cakes. Name them, for example, ‘sponge cake’, ‘birthday cake’, etc. If you decorate these cakes please leave sufficient room for the judge to cut them. Cakes described as ‘decorated’ or ‘novelty’ cakes are judged on decoration only and will therefore be disqualified if entered as a cookery item. Please see ‘On With The Show’, 2006 vedition, page 112; pages 124-127.
For safety reasons please DO NOT use pins or wires to fix decorations or mark cards to produce entries.
