One of our main aims is to give women the opportunity to learn. We help women acquire new skills which are transferable to the community and, in some instances, the workplace. Women are given the chance to learn not just the traditional arts and crafts but the latest developments in science and IT. |
Would you like to learn something new? - bring a WI accredited tutor to your Group or WI for a day - a vast range of subjects is covered. To find out more and for a list of the topics, contact the Voluntary Education Co-ordinator for Cheshire Federation through WI House, Chester. |
Denman College We also have our own
adult education centre, Denman
College, which runs over 500 courses a year. These include
study tours to Paris, painting lessons in Greece, Feng Shui, Tai
Chi, Indian head massage and advanced driving. Our members can also
attain recognised qualifications from award bodies such as City and
Guilds and OxOCN. Why not turn your interest into Achievement? |
Action Packs Action Packs were originally developed to encourage WI members to try out new craft skills, based on a new approach to learning; in small practical workshops, when it suits you, where it suits you, without a tutor, within a group of WI members and friends! ![]() The Action Packs are constantly being updated to bring you new and exciting ideas to try. These packs provide the first step on the pathway to learning. Each of the packs can be hired for a week, price £16.50 plus postage and packing at £6.00, to allow you to organise as many workshops as needed to complete the items. Your venue can be a WI hall or a member’s home. Booking Details: |
